Rafting Tour On Turgen River

Turgen is a mountain river, originating high in the mountains from the glaciers of Trans-Ili Alatau. The gorge, where Turgen river is flowing and where you will go for rafting, is considered to be one of the most picturesque mountain gorges in the northern Tien Shan.

What differs white water rafting? The first - it is the speed! This is a direct sense of river, which carries you, and you just correct the direction. White water rafting is a completely different experience, which can be felt only while participation in it.

Safety Conditions: Turgen River is mountain river with water flow speed 10-12 km per hour, that is why rafting on this river is accessible for beginners and physically healthy people. However, compliance with safety regulations and instructor's guidelines is obligatory.

Rafting Equipment: Rafts are sport inflatable boats designed for very rapid rivers. They are highly safe due to the high rigidity of its multisection PVC body. Paddles, life jackets and helmets are proven and easy-to-use equipment. The main advantage of a Raft is its high maneuverability, which allows you to moor to the river banks at any location.

What to Bring: A small backpack with your individual first aid kit, necessary personal items, and your ID in a sealed package.

Clothing: Clothing should be light and sports. Bring your bathing suit and accessories, shorts, light t-shirt. But it is also necessary to remember that mountain weather is changeable and unpredictable, so it is advisable to carry a spare set of more warm clothes.

Shoes: sneakers, sandals, shale (optional)

14:15 – 17:00 Free time, walking in the gorge or extra rafting
17:00 – 18:00 Departure from Turgen Gorge / Arrival to Almaty

Payment should be done at least 24 hours before the tour. Accepted methods of payment: cash, wire transfer

100% of the total tour price is not refundable in case of tour cancellation less than 24 hours before the tour

In case of shortage of tourists in the group, the Tour Operator reserves the right to reschedule the tour date, or cancel the tour with full refund to the customer
