Day of skiing on the best and the largest resort in Kazakhstan, which matches the European standards of quality. This tour is suitable for beginners and experienced skiers and free-riders. The tour allows you to ride both on the groomed slopes and off-piste with the possibility of organizing backcountry nearby the resort.

Due to the high attendance of the resort during public holidays (December 1, 16, 17 / January 1, 2, 3, 7 / March 8, 22, 23) and on weekends, long queues are expected on these days.
Shymbulak Ski Resort is located in the picturesque valley of the Ile-Alatau at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level and is considered to be one of the best ski bases in CIS. The resort is famous for its mild climate, a large number of sunny days, steady snow, and magnificent surrounding views. The season at Shymbulak runs from November to April, snow provided.
The resort maintains a variety of routes, including gentle and soft slopes for beginners and long runs for advanced skiers, FIS slopes for downhill skiing, wild valley, pristine snow, and the Half-pipe for snowboarders, extreme bends for the pros, a special track for the mogul. Each year the new routes appear at Shymbulak.
The ski slopes of Shymbulak are certified by International Ski Federation(FIS). Chimbulak downhill and giant slalom tracks are listed among the top ten toughest trails in the world.
TOUR PROGRAM:
After meeting with the guide at Your hotel at 08:30 and boarding a comfortable vehicle You will be delivered to Medeo sports complex, from where You will take a cable car to Shymbulak ski resort. Having ridden about 20-25 minutes above magnificent fur trees up to the altitude of 2260 meters above sea level, You will get to the 1st level of the ski resort, occupied by fancy restaurants, a ski & snowboarding school, and a mountain hotel.
For the first half of the day, You will be skiing from the lifts and trying local freeride spots. If the snow and weather conditions allow, You will explore slopes "Dry Log" and "Cone".
Lunch will be arranged in a stylish café «3200» at the highest point of a ski resort on Talgar pass. There You can relax sitting on the soft sofa, take sunbathe and listening to the lounge music. If You are tired from the sun You can sit inside and enjoy the thematic movie, communicate with local skiers, and drink special herb tea.
After lunch, You will continue to ski at the resort or outside of it. Depending on Your level of physical training, condition, and amount of snow, it could be possible to make a short backcountry to one of the closest peaks in order to end the day with a beautiful line on an untouched snowy slope.
After a fantastic day spent at Shymbulak, You will go down by cable car to Medeo station and depart to Almaty with an approximate arrival time of 19:00.

Tour Rates Include Transfer hotel-Medeo-hotel, cableway ride fee Medeo-Shymbulak-Medeo, professional English-speaking skiing guide services, day ski pass, and lunch.
Tour Rates Exclude Rental of ski equipment, food, and drinks unless specified, personal expenses and other expenses not indicated in the program, visa support and registration in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (if required), accommodation in Almaty before or after the tour (if required), insurance policy.
Booking Terms: full payment is required for tour reservations. Accepted methods of payment: cash in local currency, wire transfer, bank card.
Cancellation Terms: 50% of the tour price is not refundable in case of the tour cancellation 24 hours or less before tour departure time. Tour price is not refundable in case of the tour cancellation 12 hours or less before tour departure time, as well as in case of a no-show.
Group Size: minimum 1 person, maximum 14 people.
Age restriction: 18+
Note: Please advise any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking (traditional local cuisine includes mostly lamb or beef, dough, and dairy products).
ID is required on the tour day to be left as a security deposit for the rental of ski equipment if necessary.
